In recent years, the entrepreneurs have been considered as one of the decisive factors to achieve the goal of industrialization and modernization of the country, create a breakthrough in socio-economic development and enhance the position of Vietnam's economy in the world. In response to a Politburo's Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW dated October 10, 2023 on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era and Resolution No. 93/NQ-CP dated July 5, 2023 on improving the effectiveness of international economic integration, promoting rapid and sustainable economic development in a 2023 - 2030 period in order to support the connection of Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses in the globally integrated economy, contribute to promoting bilateral and multilateral trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the ASEAN region, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, Singapore Manufacturing Federation, Vietnam - ASEAN EDRI, World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Business and Brand Development Center in coordination with Vietnamese Ministries, Departments, Sectors and agencies, Singapore federations and associations hold a "Asean Economic Forum 2024" and the "Asean Award 2024" announcement and award ceremony titled "Strengthening cooperation in economic development for prosperous ASEAN" in April 2024 in Singapore.
This initiative is an opportunity to introduce and promote prestigious, high-quality Vietnamese brands in greatly interested fields today such as: Construction, healthcare, education, technology, pharmaceuticals, banking and finance, cosmetics, high-tech agriculture, tourism, import-export, logistics and IT,...etc. As a part of this event, displays and introductions of products of businesses from Vietnam, Singapore and other countries in the region will be given; and topics will be also discussed with leading experts and famous corporations.
The "Asean Award 2024" announcement and award ceremony honors typical ASEAN businesses, famous ASEAN brands, and good ASEAN entrepreneurs/managers. Accordingly, it affirms and praises typical entrepreneurs and businesses and collectives with their important contributions in innovation, economic development, social security, and sustainable development in the region.
